Science and technology is mandatory for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
In science and technology, students explore the natural and made worlds. They learn how to apply scientific and technological skills, knowledge and understanding across a broad range of contexts.
Science provides a way of inquiring about the world around us. It explores evidence and investigates ways to discover, develop and produce solutions to real world problems. The inquiry and skill-based nature of science opens doors to ideas and discoveries.
Our school believes that technology isĀ beneficial to student learning, it is used daily in the school. Each classroom is equipped with 10 tablets.
We have interactive whiteboards, 8 commbox and 1 neopost board in classrooms. There are 2 computers per stage and personal computers so that students can use them as a tool for their learning.
We have a computer room which is used daily by all classes (kindergarten through to Year 6), a library with 20 tablets and laptops to be purchased. Finally, we have 30 mobile laptops which are booked by our teachers so students can use a wide range of programs to present their work and use them as a research tool.
